Spider-Man 4 Filming Delayed |
It may be a while before we see Spider Man 4 in theaters. Filming on the movie has been pushed back indefinitely. And no, it doesn’t have anything to do with Kirsten Dunst or Tobey Maguire! According to Variety, Sony has delayed the start of production, which was originally scheduled for February. Before the holidays, director Sam Raimi halted pre-production because he was having issues with the script. The movie’s release date is May 6th 2011, which may seem like a lot of time—but not for a big blockbuster like this! Raimi reportedly hated the script for Spidey 4, and are now awaiting a re-write from another screenwriter. "It is unlikely that May 11, 2011, date will be made," a Sony insider tells DeadlineHollywood.com. "It depends on how quickly the script can get in." |

Spider-Man 4: Kirsten Dunst Written Off? Hathaway In? |
The unexpendable behind-the-scenes drama concerning Spider-Man 4 continues to flow. We, in turn, will be happy to continue jumping on it, grain of salt and all, as a needed dose of "food for non-thought." This time, it may involved one factor we once thought was certain: Kirsten Dunst. "The plan is for her character to be written out, probably by dying. Anne will take over as Peter Parker's new love interest for this project and for Spider-Man 5 and 6 which are being written now. Anne's in L.A. doing a lot of meetings on the movie, because filming is right around the corner." Okay...let's forget the notion that the Spider-Man 4 production has hit some pretty huge creative roadblocks that were rumored to have halted production altogether. (In addition to Sam Raimi and the studio hating each others' guts.) Let's also forget the fact that the entire Spider-Man franchise will more than likely REBOOT after part 4 is said and done, seeing as Tobey Maguire cannot possibly keep playing this role forever. Now then, are we to believe that Kirsten Dunst, after a seemingly lukewarm attitude while promoting Spider-Man 3, would come back for some brief, flat role where she plays a pseudo-Gwen Stacy martyr? Even if she happened to be head-over-heels for the film series, why would she come back just to have her character jobbed? It's like some kind of reverse Denise Crosby. (Look it up, non-Trekkies.) Kirsten Dunst Shares Her Zen With a Friend |
Kirsten Dunst stopped to pick up a friend before heading off to a yoga class in LA on Tuesday. December's Allure cover girl is focusing on her fitness on the West Coast during the holidays, though soon she'll have to switch up her routine when it comes time to promote All Good Things before its release in March. One film that might not require too much of Kirsten's services is the upcoming Spiderman 4 — Star reported that Kirsten's character may be killed off, so the female lead could be taken over as rumored by Anne Hathaway, though Anne's reps say the speculation is premature. |

Eva Longoria and Kirsten Dunst: Charity Chicks |
Teaming up for a good cause, Eva Longoria and Kirsten Dunst participated in the annual Telethon for Rehabilitation Centers for Children in Mexico City, Mexico over the weekend. The “Desperate Housewives” actress and the “Spiderman” sweetheart were all smiles as they helped raise money for disabled children, joining fellow participants including the Black Eyed Peas, Shaila Durcal and Alejandro Fernandez. During the course of their stay, Eva and Kirsten also took time to visit one of the Rehabilitation Centers for Children - greeting personnel and residents as they signed autographs and posed for pictures. Having flown down south after opening up a new Beso restaurant in Las Vegas on Friday, Miss Longoria is surely enjoying the cuisine during her helpful visit to Mexico City, as she told press, “Anytime there is Mexican food around, you can bet I’ll be eating it. I’m not a chocolate person and I’m not into sweets. I’m a meal person.” |

Kirsten Dunst on Ex Jake Gyllenhaal: "We're Not Good Friends" |
So much for hanging with your exes. In the December issue of Allure, Kirsten Dunst admits that she and ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal don't exactly keep in touch. "It would be nice to see him," she says. "But we're not good friends." The couple -- who had shared an L.A. home and a dog named Atticus -- split in 2004 after about two years together. Now 28, Gyllenhaal has been in a relationship with Reese Witherspoon since early 2007. The 27 year-old Dunst tells Allure that she's single and living in New York City. Any notable guests at her apartment? "My girlfriends will sleep in bed with me, but no guests, not long-term, anyway." The actress, who describes her life as "totally regular," recently took an eye-opening cross-country road trip with a pal, visiting Graceland, New Orleans and the Grand Canyon. "After we were done, I was like, 'Wow, America is so poor,'" she tells the magazine. "Just the towns you come across -- all that's there are restaurants and gas stations. There are beautiful stretches of pasture, but for the most part, people live simply. The East and West Coast are so different from the rest of America." source: usmagazine.com |
